History


The historical development and the experience gathered over more than 125 years at Küppersbusch, shows clearly that innovation and traditional cooking methods do not exclude, but rather enhance each other in every aspect of the product.

Below is a list with the milestones of Küppersbusch's history: 


1875

Friedrich Küppersbusch begins with the production of coal-heated stoves and ovens.
1889 The first manufacturing site with 90 employees is inaugurated. Annual production is 6.600 stoves and ovens.
1907 Küppersbusch becomes Germany's largest and most specialised factory for cooking appliances.
1925 Küppersbusch begins manufacturing electrical cooking appliances.
1956 With 3.500 employees, Küppersbusch is world's largest factory for stoves and ovens.
1973 Introduction of the mulittherm-plus® system for ovens. Convection air cooking is invented by Küppersbusch for household ovens.
1987 Invention of the ökotherm®-ring catalyst for ovens.
1990 Distribution company for professional kitchen equipment established in Cossebau/Dresden.
1999 Acquisition of Küppersbusch by Teka Group, and creation of household appliances and professional appliances divisions - Küppersbusch Hausgeräte AG and Küppersbusch Großküchentechnik GmbH.
2000 Küppersbusch celebrates its 125th year anniversary.
